Ever After Tequila Sunrise

Have you been keeping up with indies? It's so awesome to me that what started with Lynnderella and Cult Nails has EXPLODED into hundreds of shops. What started as a bunch of girls getting together for dinner and talking nails has turned into conventions across the country and even some in Europe and Australia! It's been so fascinating to watch over the past 8 years.

One of the brands that has come on the scene and made an impact in my world is Ever After. I first met Rachel and Miranda in Las Vegas during a Colors and Cocktails party - one of the first organized exhibition meetings which has now spawned The Polish Convention. Ever After has their nail line created by Rachel and an accompanying body products line created by Miranda which has also expanded into soy wax melts.

Earlier this month, Ever After released their Flake it Up Jellies collection. This is a 5 piece collection packed with flakes in a jelly suspension base. They can be built up to be worn alone or placed over another color for a new look. Today I'm using Tequila Sunrise.

I started my manicure with a base coat of Duri Rejuvacote, 2 coats of polish and finished with Glisten & Glow Top Coat. I was super impressed that this polish only needed 2 coats to be truly opaque on its own.

Look how pretty this is! This is listed as a vibrant neon watermelon jelly with color shifting flakes. I think it definitely hits the watermelon jelly but not sure if I'd call this completely neon. The flakes inside are a mix of magenta and golden shreds ranging in a variety of sizes.

This polish is currently available in a 13.5 ml bottle for $10.50.

Ever After has closed and is no longer available for sale.
