Dip Into Pretty City Lights

I used to be really into rainbow holographic glitter but it really needs a good base color underneath in order for it to work the way I want. Dip Into Pretty City Lights definitely has that gorgeous rainbow glitter but it's all in a clear base.

To start this manicure, I used my Glisten & Glow Saddle Shoes & Sock Hops manicure and added 2 coats of City Lights before topping with Glisten & Glow top coat. This allowed the polish to be smooth to the touch. On my ring finger, I started off with a base of Morgan Taylor ReactMAX Optical Brightener, 2 coats of polish and finished with Glisten & Glow top coat. You can really see the difference between having a base color underneath and being on the bare nail.

And because HOLO, here's one with flash.

I feel like this is REALLY telling - the polish looks super full coverage in normal lighting and then you hit it with that flash and it's not nearly as beautiful as I thought. For that reason, this one is going in the purge file.

The price point for Dip Into Pretty is only $6 for 10 mL. It is 5 free, vegan and cruelty free so great for those who only support CF brands.
