Morgan Taylor Plumette With Excitement

Hello dear friends! It's been a hot minute since I blogged last. I gave birth last month to our 3rd boy and that's been fun, and then this past week I had my gallbladder removed as well. Nothing like some surgeries to make your summer! So last month, my mother in law was in town and she asked if I could do her nails. She wanted a certain color by another company (which oddly, I don't own) but she mentioned she liked pearly colors, soft pink, etc. I pulled out 4 of my Morgan Taylors and she chose Polished Up which I blogged about back in 2014. One of the colors that she didn't choose was Plumette With Excitement from the Spring 2017 Beauty & The Beast collection. I was actually a huge fan of this collection but didn't realize I hadn't worn all the colors yet, so this was a great time to dust off the blog.

Now let's be real, my nails are a HOT mess. I had been cutting them down to nothing because of the baby and then due to nerve, I've been chewing on my cuticles, my nails were uneven... it's a mess. I spent a good half hour cleaning up and then polishing? Whew, let's say thank you for clean up brushes.

I started with Morgan Taylor ReactMAX Optical Brightener, then two coats of polish and finished with Glisten & Glow top coat. The first coat was a little streaky and I was nervous but the second coat floated on well and it was fully opaque.

As you can see, this is a nice pale pink creme. It's a great palette cleanser polish, very office appropriate, and a great base for some nail art too. I have some great polishes that landed in my office the past few weeks so I'm excited to share as the days go on! I only have a few weeks left of maternity leave and then I'll be back on my schedule which includes some "me time" for polish!
