Vapid. Birthday Bitch 2020

Nothing To Disclose

Vapid is an indie company that's located only about 150 miles north of where I live. That sounds like a far distance, but that's where my extended family lives and since Vapid just opened a store front, it was only fitting that when I was up seeing family, I made a stop to see all the goodness in its glory. Now I could do an entire post on just the store and the other items Vapid has to offer but for now, let's just talk about Birthday Bitch 2020.

I started with Morgan Taylor REACTmax Optical Brightener, 2 coats of polish and finished with cuccio high gloss top coat. This polish is the ORIGINAL FORMULA for those of you who have been following Vapid for awhile. It's a turquoise base with these crazy orange/red/green based flakes inside.

Yes, I finally chopped off my nails. I was just going crazy with the length and it was just going to be a matter of time before I snapped them on something so I clipped them all off, filed them down and man I'm happier.

Now onto this polish. I still don't know what I think about it. On the one hand, I love the turquoise base despite the fact that I rarely wear turquoise nails much. And then there's the flakies. I love the element of surprise and how it's red, then it's green, then it's gold... but I don't need to be playing with my hand in the light all day long. So do I have to keep this? I'm on the fence. Even though this is a 2020 release, this is the original formula and that's a rare bird in the indie world. For now it's still sitting on my desk, debating my decision.
