Happy Makeup Monday! Today I'm giving my nails a break and wanted to share this really cute portable razor that I got at Cosmoprof North America last year! I went to their media luncheon and Sphynx was one of the beauty brands that was exhibiting. On top of the idea being awesome, the packaging is super cute. Sphynx comes in four colors - Pink Me Up, Teal The Deal, Berry Haute and Black In Style and is available for $14.99 on their website.
So the basics - this is a 3 in 1 portable razor that contains a refillable water spray bottle, a moisturizing pre-shave bar and 2 razors. It's this super cute circular design that is easy to open for cleaning and replacing the shave bar and razors. Also it's airplane carry-on friendly which makes me happy because I normally don't bring a razor on vacation because I don't have an easy way to pack shaving cream or a razor. (Also, the packaging has a ziplock closure so you can save the bag for storage!)
First move the dial to the "spray" position if it's not already there (mine was out of the package), remove the cap and then you can remove the spray bottle and add water.
Next, rotate the dial clockwise to the moisturizing pre-shave bar. You'll want to lather generously. Ingredients include coconut oil, cocoa butter and shea butter. Also it's sulfate free, SLS free, wheat free, paraben free, GMO free, gluten free, cruelty free, vegan and my personal favorite - won't melt in high temperatures.
Next move the dial to the 1st (or 2nd!) razor and gently shave. No need to rinse your skin afterwards - just rub the moisturizer into your skin. The sides have holes to allow the razor to air dry and stay clean.
It's also easy to clean - just rotate back to the spray bottle and twist the outer shell in opposite directions to open. I was happy to know it was really that easy because I tend to break things when I try to open them - just that clumsy. Also, it's easy to remove the shave bar and razors when you've used them all up. Refills are available on their website and select stores for only $7.99.
