Pretty & Polished Weather The Storm

Nothing To Disclose

Last month, I donated 20 pounds of nail polish to my local cosmetology school and it was a great feeling to both clear out my shelves and provide product to students. The teacher was overwhelmed - she thought I was just bringing a couple and had a makeup train ready to put them in so when I brought in two big bags, she didn't know what to do. I plan on making another donation soon so I'm going through all the random places I have polish here at the house and getting things ready for either permanent placement in my home or being donated somewhere.

Today I grabbed Pretty & Polished Weather The Store from the Dusty Creme collection. This is a smokey blued grey creme that I had been overlooking in my box for quite some time.

I used Glisten & Glow base coat, 2 coats of polish and finished with Glisten & Glow top coat. The first coat was a little streaky but the second coat leveled out. I did flood a bit of my cuticles but a clean up brush and some acetone fixed that.

So this polish has this crazy special pigment that makes the color almost look pixelated? That's the only way I can describe it. It is what gives the polish the "dusty" look which I love. It's almost like a speckle effect but it just allows light to bounce around and that's why I ended up keeping this polish in my collection. I've never seen anything like this!
