OPI Dating a Royal

Nothing To Disclose

When I saw OPI Dating a Royal in my last swap with Pookie's Polish Swap, I was so stoked to see a beautiful royal blue. This was from the Mod about Brights Summer 2008 collection but surprise - it's a jelly/crelly!

OPI Mural Mural on the Wall

Nothing To Disclose

Well this is a unique one! I got this from my Pookie's Polish Swap and it's OPI Mural Mural on the Wall in their Infinite Shine 2 formula. So the Infinite Shine system is a 3 piece method to give you up to 11-days of long lasting wear. I don't own the Infinite 1 (base) or Infinite 3 (top), but I still wanted to share this coral/orange jelly polish that has golden shimmer.

OPI Significant Other Color

Nothing To Disclose

I am trying to make some room in my Helmers and grabbed OPI Significant Other Color, a pink/lilac pearl with green shimmer. I don't remember when I got this bottle but I had never seen anything like it. It's crazy how many bottles of OPI have and I was super grateful when I used to be on their media list and would get advanced samples.

OPI Tealing Festive

Nothing To Disclose

Well, I had a devastating nail break this week, so I figured I'd finish all my swap bottles from Pookie's Polish Swap and see how long they grow before my manicure next week. This is OPI Tealing Festive - a medium-dark blue-green metallic.

OPI DS Sapphire

Nothing To Disclose

I am so obsessed with silver holographic polishes. Today I have OPI DS Sapphire, which is a blue based silver holographic with a little bit of pink flash.

OPI DS Mystery

I found another OPI DS or "Designer Series" polish today. This is DS Mystery, a deep purple with gold shimmer.

OPI DS Reserve

I have another OPI DS or "Designer Series" polish today. This is DS Reserve, a pink holographic.

OPI DS Illuminate

Nothing To Disclose

Back in the day, the OPI DS or "Designer Series" was all the rave. Today I have OPI DS Illuminate, a brown holographic with green shimmer. This is super unique!

OPI Polka.com

When I first saw OPI Polka.com from Summer 2013 Euro Centrale collection, I couldn't wait to wear it. I was obsessed with this teal and fuchsia hexagonal glitter with purple microglitter in a clear base.

H&E Paint Bar, Portland Maine

Hello dear friends! I took a nice long break for my health (still battling long-hauler COVID-19 issues) and then a long vacation to see my husband's family in Maine. While I was up there, I had toyed with the idea of getting my nails done but I had broken one on the plane and was just in a funk over color, shape and design.

OPI Alpaca My Bags

Nothing To Disclose

It's been about 8 years since I wore OPI on my blog. No real reason - I used to love the colors, the collections, the ultra wide brush. OPI is much easier to find these days too... I can get it at my local Wal-Mart although this color I purchased from Ulta in order to qualify for free shipping. Sorry, not sorry. This is Alpaca My Bags from the Fall 2018 Peru collection. As soon as I saw it, I wanted it and I've kept it in my Saved folder on Instagram for months.

OPI Nail Envy - Strength In Color

I've heard many a blogger swear by OPI Nail Envy as their base coat of choice. I personally haven't tried it out but I was interested in seeing this email come across my inbox.

Gwen Stefani for OPI

I know this feels like old news, considering that OPI also launched in Sally's Beauty Supply around the same time that they announced a Gwen Stefani collection. Then I found out this past week that the polishes were being sold for 50% off! Get your local Sally's sooner than later and pick up your favorites! I got Push and Shove and In True Stefani Fashion.

Live from Cosmoprof North America 2013!

So after missing my flight, being rerouted 5 hours out of my way, and showing up 7 hours late, having my laptop wireless card go southside, my iPad not charge and a migraine the size of Texas, I am in Las Vegas for the Cosmoprof North America show!

Yesterday I met with a large diverse group of brands - NCLA (yes, it's in all caps!), China Glaze (Gelaze anyone?!), OPI (item coming this fall that I am jumping up and DOWN for!), Barielle (great story line behind each collection), Seche (much more pigment and boldness!), ORLY (flakie IN matte top coat!), Jessica (glow in the dark snowman ornaments anyone?), nubar (where have they been), and much more.

Tonight I have more meetings set with brands like essie, and CND plus something extra special that I hope I can talk about. Unlike last year, more items are embargoed this year... some I can't talk about until December! Some I couldn't photograph. But despite that, just know that this is the place to learn about new nail trends ... when I can talk about them!

Be prepared, tell your friends.
Cosmoprof posts are coming!

Happy polishing!

OPI Joins Bond 007 for 6 New Liquid Sand Polishes

When I first heard the rumor that OPI was coming out with a polish called Pussy Galore, the inner teenager in me started laughing.  Yes, I understand that it's the name of a Bond Girl (which, by the way I have not seen many Bond movies), but I couldn't help but laugh.  What REALLY cracked me up was that the official press release started with "Polish Galore!" which was like "HEY I know you're not REALLY talking to me but I feel like you're talking to me!"  Wee.

I ended up buying all 6 of these and they are their way to me so I can play. I have a real love/hate with texture polishes... I love the way they look but I hate applying (long dry time) and removing (sandy particles all over your fingers).  Please enjoy the following release.

Polish Galore!
OPI Joins Bond 007 to Release Six New Revolutionary Liquid Sand™ Nail Lacquers Inspired by 50 Years of James Bond

OPI announces the launch of Bond Girls, a collection of six new Liquid Sand™ nail lacquers featuring a textured, matte finish infused with reflective sparkle fitting the allure surrounding the Bond Girls. In hues of white, pink, blue, purple, gold and coral, Bond Girls offers a range of shimmering shades with the distinctive Liquid Sand finish. “OPI is extremely excited to partner again with EON Productions,” says Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI co-founder & Artistic Director. “Following the success of the holiday promotion with the latest James Bond film, Skyfall, it’s been a thrill to create colors for the women who’ve captured Bond’s attention over the last five decades. “The six shades are named after some of the most iconic – and my favorite – Bond girls, including: Solitaire, Pussy Galore, Tiffany Case, Vesper, Honey Ryder and Jinx,” adds Weiss-Fischmann. “Worn without top coat, these Liquid Sand lacquers give nails a pebbled, matte finish worthy of the captivating ‘Bond Girls’ name.”

OPI Now Available at ULTA.com, First Authorized E-Commerce Source in United States

I'm in a few Facebook Groups that are about nail polish and/or blogging and one question I see a lot is "Where can I buy OPI online?" There have been online stores that have popped up but they have all been shut down because OPI had not authorized them to be an e-commerce source in the USA.

However, in March 2013, OPI made two large Ulta announcements.  The first was that you can no longer use your Ulta coupons for OPI purchases (other big brands have this same restriction). The second was that OPI would now be available on Ulta.com.

I know people have questioned why Ulta and not Sephora, but if you recall, Sephora has their own OPI line called Sephora by OPI. Some have dubbed it $OPI because the brand is more expensive than OPI, yet are the same quality and at times, the exact same colors (or very close duplicates/dupes).

In addition to selling OPI online, Ulta.com will always have nail treatments, lotions and certain OPI manicure/pedicure tools.

OPI is available now on ULTA.com. For more information, please call 800-341-9999 or visit www.opi.com. Follow OPI on Twitter @OPI_PRODUCTS and become a Facebook fan!
