Halloween is still a couple of months away, but while I was at Cosmoprof, I was able to snag some upcoming nail wheels for the new China Glaze collections. While the press release still isn't even out, I wanted to share with you what's coming.
Haunting appears to be the name for this collection and while it's not on this wheel, their displays showed that they will be bringing back their Glow In The Dark polish (I have a bottle in my medicine cabinet). The colors in this collection are Haunting, a black with tiny silver microglitter; It's Alive, a green microglitter with larger round glitter; Near Dark, a dark green that almost looks squishy jelly like; and Crimson a super dark purple that looks like last year's Naughty or Nice.
For fun, here are some more pictures.
Indoors with natural light
Indoors with the flash
I don't think these have a top coat on the wheels but Haunting has a smooth finish and It's Alive is slightly bumpy. What do you think of this collection?
When the press release is released, I will let you know when this collection is coming out and where it will be found.
OPI Glam Slam!

Grandstand Finale!
OPI Launches Sizzling Shades with Serena Williams’ Glam Slam! Series in Anticipation of Upcoming New York Tournament
OPI and tennis superstar Serena Williams announce the two final lacquers in the 2011 Glam Slam! promotion, timed in conjunction with the upcoming New York tournament. Glam Slam! U.S. features a duo-pack with two high-shine shades: shimmering red, Love is a Racket, and glittering bronze, Pros & Bronze.
“OPI and Serena return to our home country for the final launch with two bright, feminine lacquers,” said Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director. “Packed with red and gold micas for intense luster, the Glam Slam! series finishes with two classic, glamorous colors.”
“Whether worn alone or with Pros & Bronze layered over Love is a Racket for a golden glow, these two shades have rich hues that are perfect for transitioning from summer to fall,” adds Williams.
Serena Williams has received the World Number One in singles ranking by the Women’s Tennis Association on five separate occasions, along with being listed as sixth on the all-time greatest champions list. Additionally, she has won two Olympic gold medals in women’s doubles and has earned 27 Grand Slam titles to date. Serena is the most recent player to have held all four Grand Slam singles titles simultaneously and only the fifth woman in history to do so.
New shades in the Glam Slam! promotion are introduced to coincide with each of the four major tournaments, including the upcoming New York tournament in August 2011. As with all OPI Nail Lacquers, Glam Slam! shades contain no DBP, Toluene, or Formaldehyde, and each includes OPI’s exclusive ProWide™ Brush for the ultimate in application.
Glam Slam! U.S. will be available beginning August 2011 at Professional Salons, including Beauty Brands, Beauty First, Chatters, Dillard’s, JCPenney, Pure Beauty, Regis, Trade Secret, and ULTA, for $14.95 ($20.95 CAN) suggested retail for each duo-pack.

Jesse's Girl Penny Arcade
Yesterday was the last day in the JulieG new nail collection by Jesse's Girl. I hope you entered! In case you hadn't heard, the 8 names are Stiletto, All Things Girly, Beauty Guru, Party Dress, Girl's Night Out, Mermaid's Lagoon, Fashion Friday, and Cupcake Frosting. I'm excited to see the finishes and colors especially after meeting Julie at Cosmoprof. She's such a bubbly warm person!
So the Eye Dust above is called Penny Arcade and is a bit of a rust colored (like a penny) glitter. It's a bit grittier than the other eye dusts and there is a bit more fall out. This is definitely one that you'd want to use a primer with.
In the shade the glitter fades a bit and you can see how well this blends with my skin tone. This would be great for a subtle look during the day or use wet for a heavy night out. I've been addicted to watching xsparkage's videos on YouTube lately (CHECK THIS OUT) - I wonder what she'd do with Jesse's Girl... hmm. Only 3 Jesse's Girl eye dusts left to review! I'm kinda sad. Anything you'd like to see me do differently since I have all the NYX and MAC pigments to try too?

Jesse's Girl Sunstone
Today's Eye Dust from Jesse's Girl is Sunstone, a light brown yellow combination that is just kind of here for me. It's very close to my skin color so I'm not sure how much I'd use it personally, but it is a good basic color.
This is without primer but it still has good coverage and opacity.

bigRuby Supercool Nail Tattoos
8.08.2011
Have you heard of bigRuby yet? bigRuby is a line of "supercool nail tattoos" that are just like the temporary tattoos you put on your body, but these are for your manicures or pedicures. Seems simple enough - cut out the design you want, remove the plastic from the front, place it on your nail, wet the paper backing, wait 15 seconds while pressing down and take the paper off. (More instructions located here.) I found that regular scissors were too big, so I used a pair of manicure scissors that I actually got from The Painted Nail's Twitter giveaway last month.
There are 86 tattoos (one sheet with large designs and one with smaller designs) and in different sizes (for fingers and toes). I chose the red star that you see cut out. To wet the back, I took a cotton pad and soaked it with water.
I seriously thought that the "red" was going to show up as red, but it doesn't... it shows up as white. However, look at the crispness of the tattoo! Unlike Konad, this isn't going to smear as easily. You are supposed to wait about 2 minutes and then seal with top coat (either bigRuby or one of your choosing).
bigRuby has 6 different design packages - the star I showed above and 5 more:
Cosmic, Garden, Mod, Sea Creatures, and Tweet. Each sells on their website for $12 and their Super Dry Top Coat is $9.95. While supplies last, they are offering a gift of their Supercool Skull & Crossbones tats with the purchase of 3 or more items. I find these are a great alternative to Konad or nail art since it's hard to mess up. Unlike stickers or nail decals, they won't peel up on you or catch on anything so that's a huge selling point for me. They last until you change your nail polish which is nice if you're planning something for a party or vacation.
You can like bigRuby on Facebook, follow them on Twitter or just check out their website sometime!

Jesse's Girl Sunlit Cactus
So I touched on it a bit last week, but I got to meet Jesse Lawrence, founder of Jesse's Girl Cosmetics while out in Vegas at Cosmoprof. He was such a nice and humble man! He used to work for Wet n Wild back in the day - interesting tidbit.
Bonus Picture!
A sea of bloggers from the Cosmoprof North America Las Vegas 2011 convention. Jesse is in the middle in the khaki pants and I'm on his left in a black and white dress. Yes, it looks like I only have one leg because the other is in a knee high walking boot.
I'm winding down with the last 6 of my Jesse's Girl eye dusts, but don't worry, I have more Jesse's Girl goodies to post! I love this brand because it's quality product for drugstore prices, which with my current budget is greatly appreciated.
Sunlit Cactus is a light yellow brown base with a green flash - very aptly named.
You lose the green in the shade but the gold base is still there. It's a bit light but would be good over other colors.
Also Jesse told me that I really should try these with a primer - so I may have to check out what they all look like with primer under them! (Jesse's Girl makes a primer, which I have or you can use something like Urban Decay Primer Potion.)

OPI Grape...Set...Match
So you've seen Servin' Up Sparkle, now time for Grape...Set...Match, the duo partner from the Glam Slam! England collection by OPI. During Cosmoprof, Kimmi from the Plastic Diaries allowed me to sit in her interview with Suzi and one of the questions Kimmi had was about Suzi's "Dream Team" collaboration (if she had one) and Suzi said something that really made sense. She said that she likes to work with celebrities who actually care about their nails - which is why Serena Williams was a great match (heh) for OPI... you can see Serena cares about what's on her nails... and I'm just kind of rambling now. Back to the polish! As you can see, this is a purple with some red and blue shimmer. It looks amazing in the bottle, but what about on the nail? I used a base of OPI Natural Nail, 2 coats of polish and a top of OPI Top Coat.
Okay, so does all the shimmer get lost? You be the judge... it's definitely shimmering but you don't see the firey glow like in the bottle. However, it's still amazing on the nails.
In the shade, this color rocks - point blank. It's extremely blinging and a very pretty shade of purple. I'm really in love with this color.
Inside with the flash and you can finally see the blue flash shimmer. Such a lovely color - definitely a must buy for me.

As a bonus, here are my mom's feet - this is the first time she's ever worn purple nail polish and she loved it!

Jesse's Girl Flambe
8.06.2011
I've already swatched Rouge Flambe but today's eye dust from Jesse's Girl is Flambe and check out just how rich this color is! I couldn't believe how much pigment was packed into one small swatch. It's definitely not for the faint of heart but does make a very bold statement.
Even in the shade this color seriously kicks butt. I think I'm going to have a day to just rock this and not care because it's very in your face but I like it a lot and I think we all need a little boldness. :)

Jesse's Girl Blue Moon
This is not the first time that Jesse's Girl has used the title Blue Moon in its cosmetics (check out the nail polish here) but I can see why they used it here! Unlike the other blues in their eye dust collection, this is a darker base with loads of metallic blue sparkles in it. Great for day or evening but I'd probably stick to evening with it.
The shimmer is lost in the shade but not completely gone. It helps keep the opacity of this eye dust without being too heavy or dark.
