I have another new-to-me brand today! This is Cuticula Sea Glass, from their June 2023 Monthly Subscription. This is a slightly blue base full of small holographic flakies, orange/green/gold large shimmer, and pink, green, orange and purple "glass flakies" and then finished with silver holo flakes. Sea glass indeed!

mooncat Cheshire Cat

Since I swatched one Cheshire Cat, I thought I'd swatch another! This is mooncat Cheshire Cat, and it's a purple flakie and SURPRISE - is magnetic! I didn't know that when I originally wore this polish so I was shocked when I saw that one another blog. Since I got this as part of my Pookie's Polish Swap, I had no idea, and the label didn't specify magnetic on it.

One of my favorite parts of being in the Pookie's Polish Swap is that I've been introduced to so many new-to-me brands of indie polishes. Today I have 'Ard As Nails from the UK and this is Cheshire Cat, which was part of the BeauTeafully Polished Box for June 2023. This is a purple thermal packed with flakies of all colors.

It's Christmas Day! I thought it would be great to share Rogue Lacquer Candy Cane Lane. This is a white crelly with red and silver shredded flakies, white microglitter, and white medium glitter. This was a Mystery Christmas Crelly and I can't find out much about it online.

Zoya Seren

As you're doing your last minute dashes for Christmas Eve, I have the Zoya Color of the Month for December - Seren. This a beautiful sapphire blue with holographic glitter and shimmering blue micro glitter. Much like some of the others that Zoya has put out but holy cow, this is amazing.

I have another Lῡmen Nails Let's Squeeze The Juice, and from what I can tell, this was a "Beetejuice mystery", and very limited edition. I got it in a swap. This is a unique polish - very 70s to me. It's an orange jelly base with gold-green-pink shimmers.

I'm pretty determined to spend my winter break getting all my nail polish off my desk including all the polishes from my Pookie's Polish Swaps. Instagram has stopped showing the hashtag of course, but you can always learn more from following PookieBear0625. Today I have a new to me brand - Beaux Reves Lacquer. I can't find much on the brand other than they are based out of Minnesota. Today I have The Little Prince, which was part of a 4 piece collection. This is an indigo base with gold-green-aqua-violet shifting shimmer.

jen & berries Beady One

I have another jen & berries polish today from one of my Pookie's Secret Swap partners. This is Beady One and the label says it was from the PGB Star Wars, PGB April 2023. A short search showed that PGB stands for "The Polished Gamers Box" and it looks like it's now out of business, but it was a themed box that went out at least quarterly.

Monarch Lacquer Fish Food

Today I have yet another new-to-me brand but not entirely. Before she was Monarch Lacquer, she was half of Fair Maiden, a brand I definitely loved. Today I have Fish Food from her Mix-It-Monday series. These are limited run bottles that are made on Monday, named by her followers, and then sold that week (if I understand correctly). This is an interesting pale green crelly with lots of blue shimmer and blue-to-purple flakies.

ILNP Forest Drive

I just celebrated 15 years of my blog last week. From what I can tell, I am the second longest-running nails-only blog in the United States. Woo! We had family photos this last week and for some reason, I was feeling green. This is ILNP Forest Drive from the Home For the Holidays Collection. It's a deep green with scattered holographic and has a jelly/crelly opacity.

Anchor & Heart You Are Not Alone

Today I have another Anchor & Heart called You Are Not Alone. This was from a Breast Cancer Awareness Hope Box from 2018. This polish was a dusty pink jelly with rose gold metallic flakes and orange shifting flakes. I do think my bottle has faded from others I've found online. It also may be that the metallic flakes have tainted my bottle a bit.

China Glaze Metropolitan

Why did I have this beauty locked away? I found this bottle of China Glaze Metropolitan in a box behind my desk so I thought it was time to wear it. This is a deep burgundy red with brown undertones and bronze gold micro-shimmer from the 2005 Urban Chic collection. I also have Rapture and Crystal Ball from this collection. 

illyrian A Dangerous Type

This is probably one of my favorite polishes that I've gotten in a long time. This is illyrian A Dangerous Type, a Hella Handmade Creations Exclusive from January 2019. This is a light purple crelly with red-green shifting flakies. This polish was inspired by The Craft, which I just watched for the first time ever, and was capped at 300 bottles.

I'm making a dent through the polishes on my desk from my last 3 Pookie's Polish Swap and today I have Polished for Days It's all so Magical. This was from "The Once Upon A Dream" collection from 2022. It's an aqua/teal crelly with gold iridescent and black matte flakies. This polish was inspired by Jasmine from Aladdin.

Pretty Beautiful Unlimited Prototype 185

I decided to grab another polish from my desk from my Pookie's Polish Swaps and today I have Pretty Beautiful Unlimited Prototype 185. This is a blurple base polish with multicolored glitter and blue shimmer. I can't find anything about it online so this might be one of a kind.

Lollipop Posse Lacquer Songs from Sunnyside

I've gotten to the point where I have a ton of polish on my computer desk again so I'm trying to get through all my Pookie's Polish Swap beauties. Today I have Lollipop Posse Lacquer Songs From Sunnydale which was a Polish Pick Up limited edition polish from August 2018. Little known fact, I was OBSESSED with the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which is what this polish is inspired by. This is a mustard yellow jelly with red/orange shimmer and holographic glitter.

Anchor & Heart Kissing at Sunset

I got this next polish, Anchor & Heart Kissing at Sunset, from my third Pookie's Polish Swap with wild_moon_lacquer. This has been a great way to learn about new indie polishes, share polishes with new homes, and have some fun polish love again. Think sisterhood of the traveling polish. This initially was a 2016 limited edition polish that was originally a peachy orange holo with gold flecks. Unfortunately, my bottle has definitely faded.

The United Colors Project: Colors for Kamala - America The Beautiful

Tomorrow is a very important day here in the United States - Election Day. Fun fact - I even ran in two local elections (didn't win) and plan on running again in 2028. When The United Colors Project was pitched to me, I was interested in reading their story. 

While I do want to review their polishes separately, as I usually do, I also wanted to do a little nail art (in my own way) for tomorrow using the America The Beautiful collection.

This is from the 2017 Summer Soirée Collection - also known as their One Year Anniversary collection. This color is super unique and you can see a bit in the bottle - there is rose, gold, and green shimmer.

From my 4th Pookie's Polish Swap with rachel.lazzeri.nails included this beauty by Polish 'M. This was my first from this brand and it's called Ripped in Rio de Janeiro. This is an orange-coral polish with holographic glitter and gold shimmer. This polish was from the Polish Pickup in July 2017 "Cocktails & Mocktails."
