I have another Zoya today—this is Aurora. It is a purple holographic with a little bit of golden glitter that is a little jelly-like. This was from the Winter 2012 Ornate Collection.

Zoya Carrie Ann

Revisiting Zoya Carrie Ann, from the Fall 2010 Fall Collection Wicked/Wonderful. This was called a Venetian red sparkling metallic (glass fleck). Here was my original post from June 2011. I'm pleased this polish looks just as good as it originally did.

Patricia Love Dove

I found another Patricia bottle in my Helmer. I swear, it's like a treasure chest some days! This is Love Dove, and it's a soft blue creme. This is totally a wedding color to me!

China Glaze Crystal Ball

Today is another oldie by China Glaze called Crystal Ball from the 2001 Platinum Series and was re-released in the 2005 Urban Chic. I'm pretty sure this is the 2005 bottle. This is a red polish that originally had micro-holographic glitter but my bottle just has gold shimmer at this point.

I have another oldie China Glaze today! This is On The Rocks, a sheer seafoam aqua/green nail with aqua micro-shimmer. This was from the 2006 Tequila Toes collection. Talk about a throwback.

China Glaze Nickel Ice

Here's a real throwback today! I have China Glaze Nickel Ice, a grey iridescent pearl shimmer. The pearl leans pink. This is a pre-2000, original core-line polish. I don't have the exact year it came out but with all the talk about the China Glaze rebrand (I'm writing this prior to the big release news on April 20), I thought it would be fun to revisit my oldies.

Sometimes you just need a good gold glitter and that's what essie summit of style is. I got this in my Pookie's Polish swap and it's just been sitting in the box. This is a chunky gold glitter with smaller micro-glitter as well.

Today I have a 2024-released polish that was inspired by Deadpool. This is All Mixed Up Lacquers Maximum Effort!, and it's a red with peal shimmer. The shimmer really throws me off but it's definitely something unique.

I love that I keep learning about new indie brands through my Pookie's Polish Swap on Instagram. For some reason, hashtags haven't worked for me, but if you're interested, PookieBear0625 is the group owner. Today I have Noodles Nail Polish Blue Lagoon, a semi-sheer, cyan blue crelly with blue/green/gold shifting flakes, light blue matte glitter, and lime/gold iridescent glitter. This was from the August 2023 For The Love of Polish Box called "Summer Drinks."

I grabbed another Humble Bee Polish called Sage Afterglow. This polish was released in the fall of 2024 as part of the Sunset Rainbow collection. It's a lime green with red-to-orange aurora shimmer.

Today, I'm featuring another new brand, Jessie Monroe. This one, Ex For a Reason, has a blue-tinted base with tons of blue glitter. I actually have a pair of sneakers that are this exact shade.

ella + mila me time

Since I'm in the middle of another Pookie's Polish Swap on Instagram, I realized I needed to get through the rest of my polishes that I've gotten over the last several swaps! I only have 15 after today! I have a lot of cuccio and Zoya to go through so hang on. Today I have ella + mila me time. This was actually from their very first collaboration with lovefreshpaint from Instagram. Her name is Crystal (fitting) and for this polish she said "Because self care is so important, especially for moms, I loved the idea of a shade to signify those little moments where we can steal away to nurture ourselves after nurturing everyone else. This is a dusty purple, a quintessential winter shade." I can definitely say that this is a dusty purple creme.

Patricia Mercy for Dayz

I found this pastel yellow creme from Patricia by Patricia Yankee called Mercy for Dayz in one of my Helmers, and I didn't even have it in my spreadsheet! Now I need to go through my spreadsheet again and see what I am missing. So, I have now found out that these bottles have been completed discontinued but in May 2022, she changed the branding, packaging and colors. There's a few I have my eyes on.

OPI Significant Other Color

I am trying to make some room in my Helmers and grabbed OPI Significant Other Color, a pink/lilac pearl with green shimmer. I don't remember when I got this bottle but I had never seen anything like it. It's crazy how many bottles of OPI have and I was super grateful when I used to be on their media list and would get advanced samples.

Yesterday I got an email that my Zoya Color of the Month was here! I came home to Zoya Bunny, a modern pastel blue creme. This is a perfect spring color but also would be great for wedding season!

If you're an OG to the blog, you know that I was originally addicted to China Glaze and was fortunate enough to receive press samples from them for years. Unfortunately, I haven't seen much of them in the last few years and they haven't put out a collection since Spring 2024. Today I have China Glaze Fall From Grace from the Halloween 2023 "Serpentine" collection. This is a navy jelly with tons of blue and purple sparkles.
