Why hello friends. If you follow my Facebook, you'll know that unfortunately, we were the victims of a home invasion and they took my camera and computer - two things that are essential in my blogging. (My Helmers were also ruined but that's another story.) The good news is that the majority of our items were recovered including said camera and computer so here I am, trying to find some normalcy in my life again with blogging.

I really want to spend the rest of this year getting my collection in order, and I have a back log of polishes to review. One is Refresh Me from Patricia by Patricia Yankee. This is a very soft mint green creme that has a lot of white to it.

Painted Polish Catching The Canal

Painted Polish is an indie company that I've purchased from a few times at PolishCon and I always say "I'm going to buy more" but when I saw Catching The Canal on the Polish Pick Up Flashback, I finally pulled the trigger and made my first Polish Pick Up purchase. Apparently this was the April 2019 "Famous Works Of Art" contribution from Painted Polish and was inspired by Claude Monte's impressionist painting "Le Grand Canal." This is a beautiful periwinkle crelly base with a rainbow of color-shifting flakies.

This was the first year since Morgan Taylor's launch that I didn't get to meet up at Cosmoprof North America and see what the girls had in store. While I was definitely sad, I did have a bright spot (literally!) when the new Illusions 2019 collection showed up! These 6 shades all have a duo-chrome finish as you can see in the bottle above. Today I'm wearing Oh So Shifty, a green to blue duo-chrome.

It may be August, but it's still pedicure season here and right before I gave birth to my little boy, I decided a blue pedicure was in order so I grabbed Cuccio Aquaholic from the Summer 2019 Heatwave Collection. I was so impressed with how well it applied that I wanted to wear it as a manicure too.

Hello dear friends! It's been a hot minute since I blogged last. I gave birth last month to our 3rd boy and that's been fun, and then this past week I had my gallbladder removed as well. Nothing like some surgeries to make your summer! So last month, my mother in law was in town and she asked if I could do her nails. She wanted a certain color by another company (which oddly, I don't own) but she mentioned she liked pearly colors, soft pink, etc. I pulled out 4 of my Morgan Taylors and she chose Polished Up which I blogged about back in 2014. One of the colors that she didn't choose was Plumette With Excitement from the Spring 2017 Beauty & The Beast collection. I was actually a huge fan of this collection but didn't realize I hadn't worn all the colors yet, so this was a great time to dust off the blog.

If you've been watching my Facebook, you know that I've finally gotten all my polishes into Helmers, purged nearly half of what I owned, and I'm working on swatch sticks and wanting to get back into blogging. The other big news in my life is that I'm welcoming Boy #3 next Monday (woo!) and while I'm excited, it is starting all over with a new baby which can be stressful and what not. I had painted my nails this past weekend for the first time in months and remembered how much I love painting so this time, I picked ILNP Ocean Ave from the summer 2019 "The Boardwalk" collection. This is a cerulean blue with copper microflakes and a bit of holo microflakes for added touch.

LVX Millennial

LVX is probably the most luxury brand that I own. While it's considered boutique by most bloggers, I know that the owner, Branka, carefully designs each collection based on Fashion Week and has worked very hard on choosing the right ingredients, pigments... all the way down to the specialized font for her packaging. Today I have Millennial from the Autumn/Winter 2017 collection, which is a soft neutral baby pink creme.

Now that I have Helmers to fill, I'm very excited to get all my polishes in one spot and not in three different rooms. Today I grabbed Patricia Serenity, a light lavender shimmer.

When my nails are long, I don't care for dark colors. However, I just went for a huge nail chop after an incident with a razor so I figured now is the time to get my vampy colors out of the way. Today I have Sally Hansen Midnight Drive, a dark inky blue polish with a slight shimmer.

Bee's Knees Lacquer Squatchin Around

I missed the Fall 2018 PolishCon that was held in Minnesota, but I was really happy that I was able to purchase a VIP bag after the fact. In it was this GALAXY from Bee's Knees Lacquer called Squatchin Around. This polish amazing. It's got purple, blue and green all melded together along with some shimmer and rainbow reflecting holographic shards that just make it magical.

Dare to Wear Olivia

I'm having a baby in 2 months and so I've been working on cleaning the house while this nesting phase is going on. Today I realized I had one final bottle from the Modern Muse collection sitting on my desk from Dare to Wear. While my bottle is mislabeled "Ovlivia", the shade is actually called Olivia and is an olive green creme.

Today I have a new to me brand that I've been watching for the past few years on social media! Pattie Yankee has been a main name in the nail game for almost three decades now as an industry consultant, an international celebrity nail designer and even a salon owner! I know that her line Patricia has been around since at LEAST 2013 but I hadn't found a bottle locally yet. You can, however, buy her polishes on her website so that's a good place to start. Today I have Horizon, a pink coral creme.

Did you ever fall in love with a polish but just know she's going to be trouble? When I spied this wine purple creme from Sally Hansen called Just In Wine, I knew I had a trouble maker.

So last week, I pushed all these posts back so I could get the Morgan Taylor Summer 2019 collection written and I asked on my Facebook Page if you liked it when I write all about one brand or mix it up. The votes were overwhelming "Mix It Up!" so I'm going to try and post a different brand every week day. Now, I may have two posts a week from the same brand but not back to back. Since I have more polish than I can wear in a lifetime, I don't think it will be an issue! Now back to my regular schedule - you'll notice my nails are much longer because these pictures were actually taken back in March!

As I was clearing out a box next to my desk, I found another lakur by Londontown color and considering how pretty Londoner Love was, I thought I'd try this light pink jelly, Invisible Crown.

The finale in Morgan Taylor's Summer 2019 Rocketman collection is Bedazzle Me, a luxe glitter overlay that gives each color its own disco ball vibe. However, I was looking online and saw other people making this color opaque on its own, so I just had to try.

The final core color from the Morgan Taylor Summer 2019 Rocketman collection is Put On Your Dancin' Shoes, which is a super saucy red creme that just screams wear me. I love how opaque and crisp it is.
