I love vampy blues on nubbins so I was stoked to try out China Glaze New Year, New Boo from the Glam Finale collection. This is a super dark midnight blue with just a hint of shimmer to make it dance in the light.

When I originally saw Jamberry Envy, I thought "Nope, not my color" so it's been sitting on my desk for awhile. However, now that I'm rebuilding my entire polish spreadsheet from scratch and don't want to waste time putting in polishes that I'm giving away, I've really been working hard to go through my stash and see what I'm keeping and what I'm not.

I've been to Chicago three times now and I have yet to go to the Bean, which is actually called Cloud Gate (keep that for trivia night!). Mostly because the times I've been in Chicago, I've been busy during the day and only had free time at night. Eventually I'm sure that I'll get over there at take my iconic picture but for now I just have Different Dimension Bean There, Done That, a limited edition polish from PolishCon Chicago 2016.

Ciate London after dark

Oil slick in a bottle. That's how I'd describe the last two Ciate London polishes I received. They always look amazing in the bottle but sometimes don't translate to the nail without a colored base coat, so I was interested to see how these did. Today I have after dark, a color shifting purple to blue polish.

Well I ended up snagging a corner of my index nail on my left hand and decided to go for the deep chop. I love having shorties when it comes to fall anyway! Granted, it doesn't feel like fall here but I pulled out my Native War Paints Crisp Red Apples to try and get some fall in my life!

After my parents passed away, I realized that I was hoarding four generations of items in my house and therefore, I've been working to get down to a more manageable lifestyle. While clearing out my living room, I came across this bottle from Skinn Cosmetics by Dimitri James called Hand Restore.

I have fallen for the rose gold hype. I bought a bunch of rose gold earrings this summer, rose gold sunglasses, a rose gold tumbler for my drinks and now Ciate London has a rose gold shade in their SS18 Gelology collection called paradise lost.

A couple of weeks ago, ella + mila posted on this beautiful blue creme on their Instagram and I realized "Hey, I own that!" While at Cosmoprof North America this year, the owners (who are super sweet and amazing) told me to grab a color and this is the one that my eyes darted to. Here is yacht club, a gorgeous blue-grey from the Elite collection.

Top Shelf Lacquer Take Me Drunk, I'm Home

Reaching into my PolishCon Chicago 2016 box again and this time I pulled out Top Shelf Lacquer Take Me Drunk, I'm Home. This was literally a last minute "Omg, I need this" polish that I purchased as the event was closing and then it sat in my box. Typical Krystal. This polish is from the Fun Bar Quotes - Mega Shifts collection. The base is purple jelly and has shimmer shifts from aqua blue to purple to red.

Jamberry Most Wanted

I have another Jamberry lacquer today - this one is called Most Wanted and it's a melon creme. I really have enjoyed the wide brushes on these lacquers.

China Glaze Sparkle On

When I first saw China Glaze Sparkle On, I was stoked because it's such a pretty red glitter! However, when I opened it up, I was pretty sad. For starters, the formula was thick like glue. I ended up putting TONS of thinner in it to try and make it easier to use. Also, while it is a red glitter in a red tinted base, it just didn't look like it was going to work well for me.

Last week, I realized that somehow my master spreadsheet of nail polish was deleted. I think it had to do with the account that I used on Google Sheets but the end result is that I have a spreadsheet from 2015 and nothing newer. However, this has also made me really want to get through my purge. I'm working hard to push out nail polish and figure out what I really want to keep. Today I'm using China Glaze Santa's Side Chick from the Glam Finale collection.

What is it about Tonic polish that makes me want EVERY SINGLE BOTTLE. Uh, maybe all the amazing pigments inside? Today I have Curio, part of the Unicorn Pee collection. New to unicorn pee? It's a special pigment that flashes from red to green depending on the lighting and angle.

This week has flown by and today I have my final Sally Hansen Miracle Gel from the Summer Solstice collection called Ocean Daze. This is listed as a "marital-minded mint creme" but is definitely more blue mint than green mint.
